Product overview
AppFolio Property Manager is a cloud-based property management software developed by AppFolio, Inc. to streamline operations for diverse property types, including multifamily, commercial, and student housing.
My experience
At AppFolio, I was a product and service designer. I designed, researched, and supported engineering for the online payment portal experience and various property manager app experiences. In the space of service design, I collaborated across the service and product organization to support bringing new vertical service offerings to market, addressing needs across onboarding, training, customer service, & product experience.

My client, a growing retail business, needed to transition from a basic online store to a comprehensive e-commerce platform that could handle:
- Complex product catalogs with variants, inventory tracking, and dynamic pricing
- Secure payment processing with multiple payment methods
- Order management with real-time status updates
- Admin dashboard for inventory and sales management
- Mobile-responsive design for optimal user experience across devices
